A while back someone on the train asked the IO for a stamp on the crossing into Denmark, and the guy just handed him the stamp!

Next time I'm going to Germany, I'll have to try that.

I only wish I'd had the thought of asking for some more stamps last year.

In my defense the immigration officer at Prague Airport looked quite serious and miserable, so I doubt he would have seen the funny side of me asking for one..esepcially as our flight was late and i think we may have been keeping him from getting home that afternoon..the airport was practically deserted when we arrived!

The rail border between the Czech Republic and Austria was probabaly my best chance at getting one, but since me and my 2 friends were the only people in our cabin he didn't even reach for his stamp as was out the door in about 10 seconds (all UK Passport holders).

Finally, when we entered Hungary the guards did stamp some Korean girls' passports in our cabin, but when I motioned to them to stamp mine, they just smiled and walked away. Frown

If you've read my other post then you'll see that Budapest airport provided me somewhat with a stamp anyway!

On my first ever overseas trip outside Australia, when I went to New Zealand, I was terribly disappointed to find out that i didn't get a stamp on my spanking brand-new passport!

In fact, when I received said passport, I jumped up and down so much with joy and excitement you'd have thought I'd won the lottery!!!

Couldn't stop saying to all who would listen,(family members), Look look I've got a passport, I'VE GOT A PASSPORT.

Their reaction? Lovely! or Very nice.

Kids really know how to make one feel inferior, don't they?

Have a nice day, Whistler.

I don't even remember now how I stumbled onto Bootsnall. I was probably just starting thinking about my RTW trip, which I left for in summer '03. I remember now, I found it because of the RTW ticket search and then I started posting in the forums.

I found BnA way back in the day when I was looking up info about RTW travel. It's crazy to see how far they have come. It's even more crazy that I write for them now!

Like many others I fancied a change of atmosphere from the TT - I still go there of course but it is nice to have two different types of place to hang out!

Last year, I just googled about Albania and some other Balkan countries and ended up led here to read some interesting travel stories about Albania and some Balkan countries.

That's how I discover the world of BootNAll.com!
(later I found it is also recommended by Let's Go)

Isn't it ironic? Now I have my own travel stories about Albania , Romania, and Bulgaria published on BootsNAll.com! So when people googling these destinations, they may be led to my stories and thus discover BootNAll!

Read my stories at:

Hey LGOOTC...No reason to have to fight to plug the north of England. That is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and would like to lease one of those leaseable pubs there and happily die in the Lakelands in a little town called Rowrah. North of England is fantastic. And I great place to hide from RAGE zombies too.

Apparently I joined this site in May 2005...probably after finding it in a Google search for "travel forums" or something like that. However, I didn't post until August 2006, unless an older one was deleted. It's funny because two of my first posts were rather controversial polls...one asked opinions of George W. Bush and the other what religion posters belonged to Smile
