Does anyone know if it is possible to enter Indonesia by plane via Denpasar on a one way ticket. I plan to spend some time in the country before exiting through Singapore. I have heard mixed comments in regards to this issue.

I came in by land, and no one asked any questions of me. I definitely came in on a one way ticket.

Hi Tortuga nice to hear from you. How's the gardening going?

Gusto, rules vary over here and although you need and onward ticket you will probably be able to get around it. My strategy is to stick 100,000rp ($10) in the passport, when you get to the immigration check (not the VOA desk).

If you want to give $20 that will probably get you thanks and no hassles. Don't worry about being asked what the money is for. Just say "Its for you." They are all corrupt and are not trying to trick you. I have have them actually suggest to me that I give them money.

I flew into Bali about 3 weeks ago on a one-way ticket and never got asked anything about it. Jeff who arrived about 2 weeks ago was getting on his flight in Houston Texas and they asked him about the fact he was on a one-way flight. They wanted proof he had the abliity to get out of the country so they asked to see a credit card. So he just showed a debit card and that was it and then no problems after that. There where no hassels at all in the DPS airport.

I flew into Denapsar one-way from Thailand on Air Asia. I think I remember them asking me about a return flight and I explained that I had an Air Asia electronic return ticket that I didn't have on me (I actually didn't have one). It must've worked because I don't remember any hassles. I think they realize alot of people travel with electronic tickets.
