Hi all,

We haven't done any research on Bali at all, but are thinking it might be a nice first stop to decompress before the big trip starts...

We would be arriving in mid August and would probably want to chill on a beach. Any ideas are most appreciated!

I think Bali could work out well for you. there's great weather in August, a party scene, decent beaches in Balangan and Dreamland close by and a friendly interesting culture. Just don't spend your whole time walking up and down in Kuta and you'll have a good time.

We'll be on your doorstep in mid/late August (kidding). Actually, we will start to look into it. We'll just have a few weeks, and we'll be flying on to Bangkok from Bali.
