Hi, my gf and I are going to bali for the first time from the 5th to the 20th of February. Where is the wetseason most wet and windy, and where are we most likely to find sun? We both love snorkelling, so we were thinking about northwest, Menjangan and the coast. But some sites mention that the conditions may be too rough for snorkelling, what do you guys think?

This site gives historical average rainfall, February certainly being normal wet season and if you're going to have storms etc., that's usually when it'll be.
Weather does vary year by year though, so np predictions on whether you'll have the luck to get afternoon downpours for an hour or so or luck out to cop something else.

If you have not finalised your tickets have you thought of Malaysian or Thai islands where weather will be much more settled that time of year.

Ok, what I heard was that rain season on Bali was an hour of hard rain and then things would clear. Im actually fine with clouds, seem to make things easier often, but alot of rain is another thing. Anybody else have experiences on this topic?

This year we are having a drier than normal wet season. Instead of heavy daily showers, we get either no shower, or a quick one at night.

For snorkeling the best places in Bali are Menjangan, Candi Dasa, Blue Lagoon (Padangbai), Amed,

The SW of the island gets the most rain, the NE the least.

HI Nick, and thanx for the advice. We will go straight to Ubud for 4 nights, and then we will probably go to either Menjangan or to this place called the Villa Agung on the north-east coast. The website there shows a private beach with living coral. U know the place? Can u recommend any place near Menjangan? And lastly, the last 4 nights we wanna spend in either Sanur or Seminyak, what do u think is best? Know any good villas in either places, im looking the 100-200 per night price range. Many thanx, Morten.
