Hi! This is my first message!

In your opinion, wich is the cheapest way for going to Australia to Bali (or any other place in Indonesia)?

Thanks!

The cheapest way would be to hitch a ride on a yacht, which is possible at certain times of the year from places like Fremantle.

There are no regular ferry services between Indonesia and Australia.

Probably a Garuda flight to Bali out of Perth would be your best bet.

Hi Nick, thanks for your reply, our problem is that we're thinking in going from Melbourne to Cairns as we've got friends there, so going south again could be crazy, even it's maybe the best option

If you can get to WA then SkyWest might work for you.

from cairns there is no cheapest way...in fact there is no way...i quickly checked kayak just to see what they came up with, which is was nothing.

Honestly and this sounds nuts, your best way would be to fly from Cairns to Perth (on jetstar, virgin blue, take tiger airways from perth to singapore and from singapore take garuda to bali. I know it seems to close, but flying internationally from some of the cities in Australia, is just not possible yet. Heck qantas can't even get you to bali from Cairns...

Good luck, sorry for the notsogreathelp

India, UAE, Africa next, follow me! I'm 24, why isn't 100 countries and 7 continents realistic in a lifetime...40 and 5 down...

Qantaslink (operated by Qantas) from cairns to Darwin,
And Airnorth operate from Darwin to Denpasar (Bali)
Lot's of cheap flight options from Bali to other parts of Indonesia.
You should jump on the Qantas website and put in a search for CNS/DPS via Darwin.
This will give you the cost of the combined airlines.
Otherwise catch a bus CNS/DRW - but it's a long long way.
A mate was in Darwin recently and saw some great specials to Bali advertised locally.
