My friends have asked me to find some accommodation for them in Ubud. I am trying to locate a website for Cendana Resort & Spa in Ubud but have had no luck. Does anyone know of a website or email address for this hotel as we would like to have a look at the hotel itself and the accommodatin?

Also if anyone has stayed at the Pertiwi Resort or Champlung Sari both on Monkey Forest Road would you please let me know what you thought of both Hotels ie. cleanliness, cost, location and any general comments.

I previously stayed at Artini II Cottages on Jalan Hanoman which is a gorgeous little hotel and brilliantly priced. However, the only downfall is that it's a bit of a walk to get to the restaurants and shopping on Monkey Forest Road, hence why my friends are looking for accommodation on Monkey Forest.

Thanks.... Splitform

Have you looked into the Tegal Sari, it's a few hundred metres from the Monkey Forest but staff are wonderful, the outlook across ricefields is brilliant, there's a good variety of rooms and all are good, excellent breakfasts are brought to your rooms and if you want to go downtown they'll even drive you there and pick you up, though we usually walk. Look here.

We stayed at the Gayatri II Bungalows just off Monkey Forest Road and got more than our money's worth. Infinity pool, rice paddies, breakfast included...

Check out my blog on the place.

Hi Princi62,

I stayed at the Pertiwi Resort a few months back. Had a horrible massage and the rooms were just okay. We did get to negotiate a lower price thanks to showing up without a reservation.

If you can swing it, the Komeneka was a fantastic resort right on Monkey Forest, minus a few lizard issues. They also were willing to give us a good deal and free upgrade to their private villas due to lack of guests.

Have a fantastic time!
