1. See an Immigration Lawyer.

2. Listen to him.

May you have only good luck and your love last forever.

There was also a post on this a week or so back which had one reply with the appropriate link on Indonesian requirements to enable a marriage to take place.

If you scan back a few pages, you should be able to pick that up, and before seeing a lawyer or ommigration agent and forking out heaps of what you are trying to save, do some research yourself on UK immigration requirements - sure they will have a governmemt web site for that.

UK entry - ind.homeoffice.gov.uk

Not the easiest of sites it would seem on initial look to navigate, but then no immigration site is usually.

Looks like you can spend an afternoon and evening clicking on left side links to get the right stuff eventually.

Hi Avesoo,
4 years ago I apply for Marriage visa from British Consulat in Sanur,Bali. Im Balinese girl
The British Consulate in Sanur will send your application to Jakarta and it may takes 2 months for the process and after that your girl need to go to Jakarta for the interview, only if The Embassy confirm that her application is OK.
Please note, for the application, both of you need:
1. Proof of phone conversation(phone bill)
2. Any correspondence (xmas Card, Birthday Card, emails, etc)
3. How you both met (Any witness?)
4. Any flight tickets receipt if you still have them
5. Your salary slip/ letter from your employee to prove that you can afford her while she out of work in UK
6. A minimum of 20 million rupiahs in her bank account (but you can get it back later Wink)
7. Provide any proof you can, dont throw away receipt, card, dont erase old text messages

This is the link for you:
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMa...ge&cid=1018721067257

Also, you dont need an immigration lawyer Wink

Good luck, and if you have questions, reply me

Hi Matt,
Yes, your girlfriend still need some funds in her bank account to visit UK in visitor visa, so she can prove that she can afford her trip.
20million rp will be good, because you know how much is it worth in sterling Smile
Also, dont forget she need to show her return ticket, hotel booking, also letter from you if you are her sponsor.
Here I copy+paste some information from the link I sent you:

What supporting documents should I include with my application?
You should include all the documents you can to show that you qualify for entry to the UK as a visitor. If you do not, we may refuse your application.

As a guide, you should include:

bank statements, payslips, or some other evidence to show that you can pay for the trip and that you have enough money to support yourself and any dependants without working or getting any help from public funds, and
evidence that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit (for example, a letter from your employer).

If you are visiting family or friends you will need:

a letter from your sponsor (the person you are visiting) explaining your relationship with them and the purpose of your visit.

If your sponsor will be supporting you during your visit, or paying for the cost of the visit, you will need:

payslips, bank statements, or some other evidence to show that they have enough money to support you.

We will refuse your application if we find that any documents are forged.
