A few of us are going over to Bali at Christmas time and there will be a gay girl that will be traveling with us to Bali for the first time - as I am not gay I have no idea where we should take her for a night out - can anyone give me some ideas? I know the Q Bar is one - is 66 or is that for anything that goes ? It's been a long time since I went out to night spots in Bali !

Bali has quite an active gay scene, especially in the Seminyak area. The gay nightlife scene seems to be men oriented, with places such as Q Bar, Mixwell, etc. popular with the guys. I'm not an expert on the gay scene but I think gays and lesbians tend to hang out in different places.

Your friend might enjoy Kudos, which is gay oriented but does attracted women too. Double Six opens at midnight, and attracted a mixed crowd. Jl. Oberoi has some upmarket places such as Hu'u and Living Room, basically lounge bar / restaurants that get rocking on Friday / Saturday nights.
