Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has heard of or has gone to any good surfing retreats in Bali? I'm interested in going in March and am looking for a place where people get together and stay for a few days, relax, learn how to surf, all that fun stuff...If anyone has any ideas it would be very helpful! thanks!

The best place to learn to surf is Kuta beach. Get together with one of the many surf schools there and take at least 3 lessons. Kuta is beach break (sand) and you will learn the basics.

Surf camps are for experienced surfers only and are usually reef.

You need small waves and a board 2ft taller than you to start. After 6 months use a smaller board. If you want a more chill atmosphere than Kuta after your lessons try Balangan, you can surf there as a beginner at high tide.
