Holds PhD in Packing

I had planned to take my Blackberry with me to CA but with the cost they are quoting for data use(to get an international plan you have to pay for a full year and I am only going for two weeks) also if you recive phone calls, even if you do not answer, you are charged international rates. Is there a way to disable phone calls and e-mail so that I can use at as a PDA and have phone #, schedule etc available?

Hey - there is a section on your phone that turns off the wireless signal. Once the signal is off you are officially dark I believe. So you should be good if you just want to use it but don't need to connect to anyone. Oh, the time sometimes doesn't register outside the the service area - so you cant check the time and use the alarm function.
