I can smell it - I swear! I think tonight could be the night! We've got past the "RTW ticket vs. by as we go" debate and landed on buying as we go. The RTW tickets are just too restrictive for our tastes. So leg one - Portland, OR to Auckland - we have priced out at about $800 per person, one way on Priceline and Vayama. I think we've checked out pretty much most of the other ticket consolidators and these two seem to be the best. Prices have actually come down in the past month or so.
Does $800 per person for a one way seem alright? I hadn't been watching prices prior to about a month ago so I'm not sure about that historical trend. I'm hoping to soon be posting on the "YEE HAW - I just booked my ticket thread"! |
