What's the best way of avoiding smelling like a dead monkey when you're on a longhaul trip?

Got any favourite brands we should know about?

Mitchum roll on.
If you dont shower one good dose will last two days...maybe three but that's pushing it.

I have tried just about every deoderant out there, men and womens and this is the best i've found.Used it everyday for four days without a shower and smelled like a dozen roses(well at least my armpits did). Try it, it's all I use if I have a choice.

Dead monkeys beware: Secret Shower Fresh scent. What genius! A deodorant that smells like you actually took a shower! And of course, rub a bit on the inside of the tee shirt as well as the body and you are home free for a few days.

Tea tree oil : A very distinct fresh smell, a good disinfectant too and 100% natural. Soak your socks in it on a long haul road trip.

A friend of mine who recently returned from C.America was about to take a yoga class and his sister complained about his odor. His solution was to spray his under arms with eucalyptus oil...that left nobody in any doubt about what they were smelling.

When I travelled in Indonesia I noticed the locals would put a certain leaf with most meals. Can't remember its name but it was supposed to help with body odor.

I just grab a Speed Stick and hope for the best.

I can't speak for the men, but women should consider bringing a small bottle of scented lotion. I'm a big fan of citrusy-type scents myself, and find a good selection at Bath & Body Works. Not only does the lotion help keep your skin moisturized (particularly on long flights), but the scent in lotion last longer than that in perfume (which evaporates).

As for deodorant, I prefer Arm & Hammer's brand. wink
