Hi guys im a new member so hopefully i wont ruin the system or waste your time

Planning a RTW trip with myself and a friend, made a basic country route and some vague itineraries for a few countrys.
Were looking to do it in a year and have a year to save beforehand, any ideas (in UK currency) how much we should save for this journey, excluding major guided tours, living cheap and sometimes roughing it by camping or taking cheap hostels?
Heres the Route
Start in UK>>MEXICO>>GUATEMALA>>HONDURAS (CAN BE EXCLUDED IF EXPENSIVE OR TIME CONSUMING) >>>PANAMA>>>ECUADOR>>>PERU>>>BOLIVIA>>>BRAZIL>>>ARGENTINA>>>CHILE>>>
then working for a few months in AUSTRALIA>>>MALAYSIA>>>CAMBODIA>>>THAILAND>>>INDIA>>>SRI LANKA>>>UK

This route excludes some locations that the friend would like to visit i.e. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Morocco, which i would also like to visit but according to certain travel companys would suck up funds as this is the most expensive part of the trip so this is expendable

Is this route feasible?, any ideas on how long i should spend in time and money for each area?

Main areas of interest for me are Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and India, mainly because these are the areas i have planned the most for.

Any idea of the best way to plan the flights? in a RTW ticket? (i hear this doesn't cover some destinations as is done under Singapore airlines and co) Most of the trip will be done crossing land borders where possible and only 9 flights will be needed to get all the way around.
Budgeting for these flights?

Is it advisable to do WWOOF in some countries (do work on farms to receive free shelter and accommodation)?

Since I haven't been on my RTW (yet), I'm not sure how much of the below will help.
Anyways, my two cents (or pennies if you will)...
from reading other posts, I think your starting point would be deciding how long you want to spend in each region.
Since cost per day would be much different in say NZ vs India.

Also, perhaps you could throw more color on the 'major guided tours' that you are thinking of.

Finally (and I have very limited info. on this) but you want to compare costs of going East, circling around and back to UK vs. your current itinerary of going West. (Again not sure of flight costs).

I think that's pretty feasible. You're sticking to pretty cheap countries and traveling with a friend, so it shouldn't be too expensive. Maybe 1000 GBP for both of you per month??

As for a timeline, a good estimate to work from is 1 month per country (more for India.) I spent about 5 weeks in Mexico and could have spent more. You can pretty easily travel overland from Honduras to Panama, I would think. If you want to travel for more than 12 months you can't get a RTW ticket, and from the number of countries on your list, and working in Australia, you'll probably be gone for more than 12 months.
