I'm starting my vagabonding experience in January and I'm bringing my guitar with the hope of busking here and there to make ends meet. I'm thinking about making the vagabonding thing into my own World Tour -- you know, like I was actually a musician with enough talent to have a tour.

Anybody have any tips for an aspiring busker? I'm good with a guitar, always working on my vocals and I play contemporary folk/pop/emo when I have an acoustic in hand. Dave Matthews, Dashboard Confessional, etc. Any certain places or countries better for busking that type of music more than others? Do I need a permit to play on streets?

Anybody else want to join the "band"?
