I was hoping to go on my rtw trip pretty haphazardly ie little planning, however from what i have read visas could hamper this. I am going to be in Australia soon and then I plan to go up to Japan, I was considering just Island hopping up to Japan but with alot of countries requiring you to apply for visas etc is this practical?

And whilst im posting this what sort of visa do you require to get casual work in the U.S? Ive checked the official sites and cant work out if they have such a thing.
