If you like the outdoors, want to see something outside of the cities and strip of sand at a beach, have a look at being a Conservation Volunteer, that site having links to many countries.

OK, it can cost some, but when you look at what you would pay for accomodation and meals, then it's not so bad and you're not paying for a gym workout result, seeing some great areas you might not otherwise see and perhaps getting some good contacts that could lead to greater rewards.
