If you happen to be flying into Boston, MA; Providence, RI; Manchester, NH; San Francisco, CA; San Jose, CA; or Oakland, CA and public transportation to/from your hotel/hostel isn't going to work out for you, now you've got another option: PlanetTran.

I'm with Carrie, I think it's incredibly cool - and also a little strange that the service doesn't exist (yet?) in eco-conscious places like Portland and Seattle. Perhaps it's just a matter of time. Having just ridden in a Toyota Prius for the first time last weekend, I'm mightily impressed with the little car. And once you're in it, you forget how weird it looks from the outside...

Great! It'll make up for about half the amount of fuel the plane burned-up on your behalf while taxiing up to the gate...
I guess every litter-bit does help, though.

Portland has a great light-rail system that drops you off at the airport. Seattle will have a similar airport route next year.
