I've been enjoying Michael Palin bumbling in his charming way through Himalaya.

There is just something so appealing in the way that he reacts to every situation in a subtle but comical way. I would travel with that guy any time.

My favorite show of all time is Globetrekker. I love Megan Mccormick!

I really like Samantha Brown's Passport to Europe and Latin America series. She's my favorite.

I also really like Anthony Bourdain's personality, but sometimes I wish he would talk more about the location he's in and not so much about food (even though I know that's the point of the show).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Anthony Bourdain. Most of the travel shows I watch I feel like "Hey, *I* could do that!" Or even "I could do BETTER than them!" but he has such opinionated, funny, self-depreciating, intelligent commentary - I think he's just fantastic. I just finished one of his books too - he's such an effortlessly funny writer and commentator.

I also loved Ian from Globetrekker back in the day. My boyfriend would get sick of me going on and on about how great I thought he was. I liked Justine Shapiro when she would get bitchy with people. I don't like Megan McCormick or Samantha Brown, too blah, IMO. I guess I like my commentators with an EDGE!

I've never seen Michael Palin's shows, but I'd like to!
And Rick Steves in entertaining just for his accent and simplicity, but I don't dig him that much any more. But I like the guy.

And not sure if this qualifies as travel narrative, but I like Survivorman, too.
