Anyone knows where I can find Lonely Planet (and/or) other travel guides in ebook format, you know, online and perhaps free? Anyone have a clue, reply here or PM me. Thanks a lot in advance!

A few free guides can be found here (but I have no idea whether it's legit). Apparently, Amazon can also convert books into ebooks.

LP is also (belatedly) starting to develop a customizable pdf service.

Finally, some city guides are available on SD cards, which at least weigh less than the dead tree editions.

However, Rough Guides seem to forge ahead on the ebook front, so it pays to keep an eye on the competition

Yeah, I had already checked out the site you linked to, didn’t look very promising. I really wonder, I mean I see ebook versions of all kinds of books (retail or scanned) online, but can´t seem to find (many) travel guides! Beats me as to why…

I agree. It's ironic, isn't it?
