So, I've been listening to Italian radio online for awhile now, and I've found a few songs that I wanted to download. I went to iTunes, and of course they're not there. I did, however, find them on the iTunes Italia site. But when I went to download them there, I was redirected to the iTunes USA site. I contacted iTunes and they said basically that no, I can't download songs from another country's store, and I should just request whatever songs I want via the usual song request avenues. So, you think they'll listen when I request the entire iTunes Italia catalog?

Anyway, I'm looking for an iTunes-like site where I can can download individual Italian songs. Any of you savvy Booties got a recommendation for me? I tried this one but I can't seem to register without being a resident of Italy. Argh...

Okay, forgive my hesitance, but isn't it a little risky these days to use a P2P system like that? I don't mind paying for the songs - hell, I'm happy to pay for them. Tell me a little more about BitTorrent, and the safety of it, please. Smile

Hi Jessie,

You may want to check out emusic.com They offer 50 free downloads, but you have to register with your CC info. I've been a member of the site for years now, it's fantastic.

Anyhow, here's the Italian selection:

Talk to the feral Aussie in your office, he is better informed than I am.
Until then, you can always read this.
