Folks,

Who read any of VS Naipaul's books?

I need to read something really good (my last book was a milestone in my history of reading) and I've been meaning to pick one of Naipaul's novels since I never read anything from him.

Which one do you guys think would be the best choice?

A house for Mr. Biswas. I liked this one

I like "A Bend in the River" a lot. Also (but not VS Naipaul), "A Suitable Boy" by Vikram Seth is pretty amazing.

thanks folks. i was inclined to getting 'Half a Life'. Anyone read that one?
Anyway, I will hold the purchase for a while more, I've listed the few libraries in KL and will go around them this weekend to check what's the book lending situation in this city.
