Nothing right now, but listened to a cheap greatest hits album of Townes Van Zandt today while painting. Easily surpasses Johnny Cash as a great country lyricist and musician.

I've become increasingly enamored with Man Man:

Top Drawer

Boombox

They remind me of a funkier Tom Waits.

I've got my FM antenna (for the younger booties, it's a big metal thingamajiggy up on my roof that I can rotate by a motor from inside the house) pointed towards Humboldt state university about 80 miles away. Listening to the university run alternative radio station there. Just heard some Neil Young live including Hurricane, but usually the music is something I've never ever heard before and have no idea who it is unless they say.

You're gonna love this girl. Really. Especially you, BostonBill. Or, at the very least, you'll get her songs stuck in your head, much to the annoyance of your friends.

Duffy - Warwick Avenue

Wow. She really is amazing. Very distinctive voice. A little nasal but haunting.

Have you seen this on Youtube ?

This song is awesome:

Shake by Play -- Djibril Cisse

Kind of reminds me of this always good-for-a-Friday little ditty.
