We all know that theres that one song or songs that when playing through the speakers in our car we feel great. Its an awesome feeling to drive down open road with that perfect song that just compliments the road and travel. Personally anytime The Eagles "Take it Easy" is played I can be caught speeding down the highway with a huge grin. What is your song or a list of songs that just do it for you while on the road?

When I'm on the motorbike, I sing beach boys hits to myself in my crash helmet HeHe
In the car, I used to do the whole miami vice thing: at night, roof down and crusin to Phil Collins 'In the air tonight' How embarrassing now
Enigma do some really good driving music but fave at the mo is Tom Petty's Freefallin.

Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on....

I'm with you on the Beach Boys Elv, and you need not fret about Phill Collins either, In the Air Tonight is amazing, especially when the drums kick in like three and a half minutes into the song. Other good driving music, usually just consists of stuff I know the words to.

Ususally any song I can scream-sing aloud with my friends is good too.

One of my favorite driving albums is Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle. Nice to thump to on long trips!

Lately it's The Cult, which my son gets a kick out of because She Sells Sancutary (or just Sanctuary) is on the Gran Turismo play station game.

I love that song. I dawn my black army boots and some kind of Indie T-shirt and stomp 80's dance my butt off.

It could be, except that I have no idea what that is, and the dance that I named I made up. It's the only way I could think to describe what I do. Remeber Molly Ringwald's character in the Breakfast Club, Claire, when she was dancing? It's kind of like that, but more active.

"Remeber Molly Ringwald's character in the Breakfast Club, Claire"

Ringwald:"Its a family name"
Nelson:"Its a fat girls name"

If I'm cruisin on the highwayn I like soulful folk ballads by Bruce Springteen, Elliott Smith, Iron and Wine, and the like. Yet there are many others that make great driving like Radiohead, Counting Crows, Soul Asylum, and such.

If I'm in the city then I like something more along the lines of Tom Waits or talking heads or anything thats got funk or soul.
