I'm looking for any kind of informations about "camping" in italia or more
precisely around Rome.
I need to know if it's safe and easy.
If there is any guide or travel books, you guys could advice me about...
Is that possible to rent a camping equipment out there ?
Or is that more "popular" and cheap to go in a youth hostel ?
Is there a web site about that ? or a book ?
Also i know there is a kinda "pass", a train pass, which you can use all over
Europe for a month (i think ?!),
Does somebody hear about that and how much it is ? Is there any restrictions
(you have to be a student ?, or you can only use it in 3 different countries ?)
Please if you have any idea or info and understood what i meant please let me
know.
The trip will be this summer (no rush, really), but any kinda help will be
helpful
Thank you
Luce

G'day Luce,

Try looking at www.eurail.com for your rail pass in Europe. You don't heve to buy from this site as you might get it cheaper elsewhere, but it will give you an idea of the option you have for buying a ticket.

Have a great trip.

Hi Luce!
About camping in Rome, uh, i would say that it's practically impossible. I would recommend you to buy the Lonely Planet guide, and to make reservations before arriving to Rome. You have to be very carefull in Termini Station (where trains arrive), because it's not very safe by night.
I stayed in Pensione Alessandro and payed 25000 liras (about U$s 12.5).
Italians are great, you'll love them. Try their pasta and pizza.
Have fun!!!
