Has anyone read any of David Mitchell's books...?

I have just finished his No 9 Dream (set in Japan) and it was, quite simply, stunning.

Has anyone read this?

You have to read Ghostwritten then! Its Mitchell's first novel and kicks the ass of his other two. I really can't rave about it enough - read it now!!!!

Ghostwritten is a series of nine interlinked stories across the world, so it has a travel feeling with a good fictional hook, and is very inventive and highly readable.

No 9 Dream is set in Japan, where Mitchell lived and taught English for years, and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and his just released new one, Cloud Atlas, is getting great reviews. I haven't read it yet, but it sounds like he's developing into a 'major' writer.

I'd highly recommend him.

The new one: CLoud Atlas, is a really good read, but i didn't think it was as good as the other two. I felt that although the stories were new and fascinating, he was kinda going over old ground inspiration wise.........

I'll be interested to hear what you think of it..
