I would love to hear if anyone has any recommendations for travel sketchbooks. I saw Craig Thompsons Carnet De Voyage recently and it made me realise what a perfect medium it is for travel documentation. looking around I see lots of indivial sketchbook pictures but not many journals or collections, in fact the only other thing that come sto mind is Sara Middas south of france sketchbook. does anyone else know about other artists who have published illustrated diarys, journals or sketchboooks?

Hi.

I really liked a book called "How to Keep a Sketchbook Journal" by Claudia Nice, but as the name implies, it's really more instructional than a travelogue (and I think that's what you're looking for). It's a good book for anyone interested in keeping their own travel journal, lots of practical advice on equipment and techniques for sketching on the go.
