Just read The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho.

While this isn't the book to keep you going for three weeks (I read half of it on a flight from Cologne to London), it is a very positive story about travel, personal journeys and decisions.

It was the right book at the right time for me - I'm refreshed and ready to explore something else while trying not to get dragged into the drudgery of work.

This morning I bought The Beach, by Alex Garland at Waterloo Station. I think I've seen the movie, but was told that the book was different - and better. A few days on the train and tube will work that one out.
