Has anyone else seen this movie?

I had no idea what to expect when I got there, and was really pleasantly surprised. It was a fantastic take on love, and to me, seemed like a love letter in itself to Paris. I especially liked the solo traveller vignette.

Anyone else?

Upon leaving the movie, I though, man, I want to go back to Paris. And I am in the mind that if I never went back to Paris, I'd be ok. But now...

I enjoy film anthologies, but I understand why many don't. I thought it was a nice little collection of shorts varying in quality. Of course, as with all movies in French or involving France, it had Juliette Binoche in it. I'll watch pretty much anything with Juliette Binoche in it. Even a film that also involves Nick Nolte.

Where did you see it? I had to download it, as I haven't found it playing anywhere since back in the U.S..

I saw it about 4 blocks from my place here in SF. It has been there for a couple of weeks and had lines around the block at almost each show.

Don't forget, it also had Gerard Depardeau (sp), like all good French movies.

I found it amazing how many different kinds of love there are. And this did a good job of showcasing them...and, at times, leading you on to think other things were going on.

Like I said, I had read very little on this and had no idea what was going on until the movie started. I loved it!

Ah, well, that's what I get for being in Tampa the last few months. (Although it's now finally playing at some theater in Sarasota.)

I'm glad someone else enjoyed it. So far, you're one of only two people I know who've seen it. Europeans included. Most seem to prefer "Une soiree dans mon calecon" to a night at un cinoche. :/

I finally saw this film on Sunday night and really loved the vignette with the mimes. I know, mimes. I don't usually like them much either, yet it was priceless the way that they caused the drunk guy in jail to scream and scream. Perhaps I appreciated it as much as I did because it reminded me of the magical qualities of 'Amelie.'

Apparently, watching a movie about Paris is the cure for the Back to Work Blues. I usually mope around the house the night before I have to return to work after some great time off, not Sunday!

The solo traveler vignette was also lovely -- the moment that she sits on the park bench and feels both joy and sadness was so touching. I am certain that anyone who has traveled alone has had a similar experience.

Thanks for the suggestion, AB!
