Hello,

I have read everything by Tim Cahill and Bill Bryson and loved them all. Can anyone recommend some other good travel humor in a similar vein? Thanks very much in advance.

Best wishes,
S.P.

One author that I've come across and found entertaining is Robert Twigger. He's not as outwardly decriptive about his interacts as the 2 you mentioned but gets into weird and amusing situations.

One of his books is called Angry White Pyjamas and tells about his year in a Japanese aikido school getting beaten up everyday.

His second book is titled Big Snake and follows his atempt to win a prize by capturing a snake over 30 ft.

I usually just lurk in the Europe boards, but I ventured into RotR today and saw your posting and just had to reply. A friend sent me a link to Brainwoofer.com, a humor travel blog, recently, and I've been laughing my butt off over the archives. I just noticed that the author is actually publishing a bunch of his blog postings and other writings as a book. It's going to be called The Wanderlust Survival Guide, and I think I'll be buying a copy. Keep it in mind. Other than that, have you read anything by Dave Barry? If you like his humor, possibly heavy on the booger and fart jokes for some, but what can I say? I'm a trashy princess! I like it. Anyway, his Dave Barry Does Japan is a hoot.

Tony Hawks "Round Ireland With A Fridge"
-quite possible the funniest read I'd had in ages...the man takes on a pub bet to hitchhike around Ireland in one month...with a fridge.

Tony Horwitz "One For The Road"
-another in the whole hitchhiking vein, this one in Oz.
