I absolutely love being the Why Go caretaker... And I loved that photo, Travis. The colors are great. It is just too fun to get the photo and quote submissions.

I've got a pretty good storehouse of 'em now, at least for the next couple months, but I'm always always always in the market for more! If I run out, you'll all be subjected to day after day of my photos.

As if I needed another kick in the rear to get my butt to Turkey, the photo on WhyGo today is just plain wow!

Hee... Thanks. It's fun sneaking in date-appropriate ones. One of the perks. I even put a Tour de France picture up on the first day of the Tour in July this year! What I need is a world holidays calendar, so I can do more than just the few I know offhand...

Just a note, when posting a link from the Why Go site, if you just post the link for the general site - www.whygo.com - it'll change daily. In order to get the specific page for the post of the day, you have to (I know, this is tedious) click the left arrow button and then the right-arrow button. You'll see the URL change to include the title of the photo.

If anyone knows an easier way to do this, I'm all ears. So far, I've just been going in and changing NTFT's links, but I thought I might teach the man to fish this time.

I was wondering if you'd just caught that one by luck, or if you sometimes travel under an alias.

So, I'm starting to panic again about running out of Why Go submissions, so submit photos please. Travel quotes, too, if y'got 'em. And yes, I'm kind of begging. A little.

And now I'm not sure which ones they were, so I don't know what other ones to send.

I just submitted a bunch of curmudgeonly quotes, and scraped up a few photos as well.

Neil, I've got about 70 pictures in "waiting," so yours might be in there... If you're not sure, though, go ahead and resubmit them - and any others - the duplicates will get sorted out by moi.

(I realize saying I'm "panicking" when I've got 70 photos in waiting might seem a little rash, but I'm prone to panic. It's in my nature.)

Okay, see, when you said "Panic," I took it to mean "Whygo will finish Friday without more submissions" which led me to believe that something was missing. Or that you think I'm a horrible photographer.

Okay, I'll send a few tonight. And I'll keep better track for the future.
