Hi I am wanting some advice on camcorders. I need something that will make good quality film, good enough for tv. But I could do with it being portable and reasonably priced. Has anyone out there used proffessional standard camcorders on their travels and which camcorder would you recommend?

Here is the deal...there is this thing that panasonic puts on some of there low end pro. grade camcorders called "24p." This is your only home of getting anything near "television quality" for under $65,000. But...low and behold the wonderful people at panasonic have made this camera for around $5,000...but you can get it fro about $2,000 on ebay. 24p is a close to cinema quality you can get for under 50,000
