AA batteries will be ur best bet. Besides, they are cheaper too. I am originally from India, and AA was the most common battery type there.

okay a bit of a twist on this subject..

instead of the 'aaa' vs 'aa' situation, what would you offer as advice in a 'lithium ion/rechargable/proprietary battery' vs 'aa' situation.

id rather not travel with a recharger and world adapters, and beieve it would be fairly easy to score 'aa' batteries everywhere. but on the con side, i'm under a strong impression that in a digicam they last for a pathetic amount of time and don't want to have to buy a new set every week or two(expensive addition to the budget).

can any traveler shed some insight?

cheers.

The battery recharger I have has a connection so that you can plug it to the lighter socket in your car, eliminating the need for a adaptor. I am just going to use that when I travel. It all depends on whether you have access to a car or not while traveling.

In the long run a recharger and an adaptor won't be a bad investment.

Besides it better for the environment!
