Hey all

Want your opinion on the Olympus E4-10 Digital SLR

Its on sale at the mo' at a local camera shop. It feels really nice and light so would make a good travel SLR.

For the body and a 28-84 mm lens its $699
add the 80-300mm lens (usually $200) for $100
then there is a kit that comes with a bag, remote, cleaning cloth etc for $50.

Has anyone got this camera, or know anything about it. For $800 seems like a good deal. It has a built in stabilizer and also a separate focus type deal where you can zoom into your pic to make sure its super clear and then take your pic. Also allows you to look through the screen to take the pic or thru the viewfinder.

Advice please

I haven't had any experience with this camera but you may want to check for reviews at bhphotovideo.com, cnet.com, or dpreview.com

Hi Trekker, personally I prefer Nikon over Olympus. One of the biggest drawbacks with Olympus is the memory card, it's not the standard SD like other cameras. Confuse I swear by the Nikon Coolpix. works every time, even at midnight at the Kalgoorlie Superpit Goldmine.

Have a nice day, Whistler.

I have only owned one Olympus and wasn't thrilled with the quality. I am a Canon shooter, but if I wasn't, I'd be a Nikonian. Fuji also makes some excellent, good value SLRs.
