Quick question...
I have been messing about wth my flickr account before i start my trip next week, so that i know exactly what I'm supposed to be doign with it. the problem is that it seems really slow to upload photos, every time i try to upload more than two it crashes the site and i have to start again. I am worried that this will happen on the road if internet cafes have a slower connection (in South America?) and it will cost me a fortune in internet time and be hugely frustrating? I'm not very technical but i guess this could be because the photos i'm uploading are too large, the thing is tho, i want to be able to upload and store them so that i can down load them when i get home when i will be able to do stuff with them properly. is it just a size thing or could it be the computer - help?! |

Flickr has never been particularly speedy, but neither has it ever crashed on me, so maybe it's your computer or connection?
I routinely upload pictures @ 2.5 megabytes, and that is fine with broadband (just find something else to do while it's uploading... There will probably be times and places where you won't get much joy with uploading pics, but in every reasonably-sized town you'll find a shop that will save them to CD for you, so you can upload them later at your leisure. |
