I went out today after researching digital cameras on the net with the Canon A95 in mind I was sure I was going to come home with this camera. But when I saw the camera it was a lot bigger than I had thought it would be. So I looked at the power shot 520. I took both cameras off the stand put them in my pocket and walked around the store one camera at a time. The sales man told me that they where basically the same camera-save the flip around screen and extra mega pixel featured on the A95. With this in mind I purchased the 520. I have taken some pictures with it and I am not sure I like it. I was pondering maybe going back and switching for the A95. I would like your opinions on the matter as some of you are far more knowledgeable than I. I have a week to exchange it. Is the A95 really any better than the 520

Also I have been using my fathers power shot S60 for the last month and love it. Do you think this could be why I am so disappointed with my new 520?

Don't tell me this! I just bought the A520.

I, too, was trying to decide between the A95 and A520, and i had just about decided on the A95 until I read this review.

"I highly recommend the A95 and expect it to sell at least as well as the A80 did in the last year. For those stuck between the A75, A85, and A95, it really comes down to one thing: the rotating LCD. You most likely don't need the extra resolution of the A95, but that rotating LCD sure is nice. If you like it too, then I'd go for the A95 -- otherwise the other two cameras perform just as well, but for less money."

(From what I understand, the A510 and A520 are the new re-vamps of the A75 and A85, respectively.)

I'm pretty much just your average amatuer so here's what made me go with the A520:

- cost
- Slightly smaller than the A95
- 2 AA batteries intead of 4

So I guess it depends on your priorities. Maybe using the S60 has spoiled you, but I'm upgrading from a Nikon Coolpix 2100 so I'm sure I will be ecstatic.
