Hi guys

Currently me and my girlfriend are in our trip around Europe and Asia. Right now we are in Ukraine, a nice place!

We are looking for information about getting out from Vladivostok. We wanted to travel from there to Japan, we saw the website of the bisintour ferry and they say that there is no boat between the end of April and May 19... but our russian visa ends on May 18 Frown

Do you know any cheap way for travelling from there to Japan between the first week of May (we will be in Vladivostok around that time) and May 18?

Thanks!

I flew from Niigata to Vladivostok round trip. It's been a few years, but I think that's still an option.

There should be some possibilty of grace time. It's only one day, and the delay wouldn't be your fault. Check with the Russian immigration while you're there.

This is Russia we're talking about. The country where you get in trouble for violating your visa because the overnight train crosses the border after midnight. An extension may be possible, but don't expect a grace period.

I'm well aware of that. I travelled to Russia (Soviet Union) in the 70's when the whole country was no-go. I still did things out of the normal schedule, even though with difficulties.
Usually, you need to find the right person to talk to, or someone to help.

Is great hearing that because tomorrow friday we start our trip to Moscow and our visa starts on saturday, we arranged everything for passing the border after midnight... great, more troubles with Russia Smile (our visa starts on April 19 and we are supossed to cross the border around 3:30 am on that day)
