Hey all, I am currently working in the pyreness in the south of France and do not finish until December 14- I'm planning to take a train staight to Venice from there. I am meeting a friend in Istabul on the 24th for Christmas and am hoping to skip through Central and Eastern Europe- Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria on my way to Turkey. I realize I have a very short time and would love any recommendations for an abreviated trip through the area.

I normally would not do this, but in this case I recommend flying.
Better to spend the time in Turkey than in transit.
You will be too knackered otherwise, and there are some discount airlines that fly into IST now.
