Love London and am just floored I haven't been in 3 years! An incredible city - seemingly inexhaustible supply of things to do!

Outside of London, chalk up another Scotland fan. Edinburgh felt somehow like home although it couldn't be enough unlike the American Southeast. I've been twice.

But a place I just know I will without a doubt return, Isle of Skye. The most knock out gorgeous place I've been, even in January. :-)

Small pissant widening of the road in the lakelands is my favourite place in Britain....It's called Rowrah. I love the hills and the people and the remoteness of it....

I liked Lindisfarne well enough. And Bath was interesting. London....well, London is a city, and though it is a beautiful city it is a big city, and I find them mostly the same in the Western World

I have mixed views on London. But overall it is a fantastic place to visit with so many sights.

To answer my own question, my favourite places are: The South-West around Bristol and Bath. Also the North-east of England particularly Hadrians Wall and Bamburgh Castle. Plus of course the Scottish Highlands.

This really is a tough question to answer as there are simply so many places of interest in England.

If I had to choose a few though they would be

A drive through the Warwickshire countryside with a visit to Warwick castle.

A suggested day in the Cotswolds

Symonds Yat

Hawkstone Park

Oxford

Roman Bath
