Is there anyone who may have some helpful suggestions about finding long term accomodations in London? I will be relocating in about 10 months. Any websites...etc. would be helpful.
Thanx in advance!

Depends on where you want to live in. I live in Enfield which is part of Greater London and rent goes anywhere from £55 to £80 a week. Will be much higher down in Central.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for more central. Like Islington, what part would you suggest? I am moving with 3 other people, and we are willing to pay no more than 200-250/wk for a 2 bedroom. Am I out to lunch?

i lived there in '98 and '99 and was stotally hooked up with Council flat in central london which is not necessarily gov't sanctioned nor comfortable, but is very cheap. check out Loot, which has the best listings, or visit student unions (e.g. University of London Union (Senate House) near Tottenham Court Road to see adverts. Camden Town in a hot place to live for young people, or even east London (Whitechapel, Bethnal Green, Shoreditch) are pretty chic now. for decent prices on a house check out Greenwich in the south or Kentish Town up north. Good luck.

i forgot to add, you should really consider Brixton. Islington is expensive, but nice and loads of frun (see Al's Diner and Cafe Kick.)You may be able to get something in your price range 'round that area, but many of the places require a mortgage.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I am looking into the places you mentioned, I will let you know what I find out! Damn expensive isn't it! Really what I'm looking for, is somewhere close to the city, good transportation....etc. Any other suggestions?
