Hey has anyone done any tours of Scotland? I have a little over two weeks left in my trip and still want to see London and part of Scotland, mostly the non-big city parts. (any Ideas what is a must-see or not) I only done one tour in the past two and a half months and that was a 6-day Paddywagon tour of Ireland. Which was great so I won't mind doing something along those lines. Cheap is also goood.

I did a 'Haggis tour' in Edinburgh - 6 days or something in the scottish highlands, isle of skye etc and it was great - you can select from a range of tour options. I'm not a big one for group tours but this was fun and I learned alot. Of course, its complete luck about your group but I highly recommend these tours, as do a lot of local scots - although the second night in the isle of skye at your typical bad-music-lets-get-drunk-and-fk vibe got on my tits at the end, not that there is anything wrong with that (in very small doses) and of course it may have just been this group of undersexed slightly annoying girls.

I was unaware that accomodation is extra so factor that into your budget.

The tour guide 'Ped' unfortunately has now left the company but he was brilliant, and I don't say that often...so if you can find a Ped-a-like then you will be in for a hilarious and fascinating time.

This tour gave me a real love and appreciation for the heartbreaking history of the Scottish Highlanders.

Hey there,

Umm, hopefully this reply isnt too late for you!

Yeah, ive done a Haggis tour as well, 6 day Isle of Skye tour and it was absolutley fabulous! it was on a huge yellow bus with 38 people but it ended up being one of the best tours, wasnt too expensive but the only bad thing is you have to pay for the accomodation on the day which kinda sux a lot when you dont have the cash on you then and there(i prefer upfront payment...this was the only negative of my tour...)

I agree with buckerooni, its just luck with the type of people u get in your group, we had the best group all different ages, couples, singles, gays, straights and we all got along great! our tour guides were fun too but a bit of advice...MAKE YOUR OWN FUN and start making friends from the first minute you get to the office waiting for your big yellow bus, you will miss some of them at the end of the tour...
