Am off there for a few days from 19th Sept for some photography. Anyone got anything they say can not be missed in Cornwall - favorite beaches etc?

OOh! my favourite topic - i love cornwall! Though some of these are pretty obvious

The Eden Project - the biomes make incredibly wierd pics

Port Quin on the north coast is a tiny fishing hamlet with a sea wall and rock pools. get the light right there and you get amazing pictures. Much smaller than more popular Port Isaac - worth walking from one to the other.

Charlestown (near St Austell) - great for their old sailing ships just moored on the public quay

For waves, you can't beat Polzeath (Hayle Bay) on the north coast. Much more picturesque than Newquay, but plenty of good vantage points, and walking distance to the iron age cliff fortifcations at the rumps and pentire point. This is my favourite bit of coast in the world and i have some fantastic photos to prove it!

The Helford passage south of falmouth is one of my favourite places for beautifully calm woodland shots, but unless the weather clears up, it'll probably be a bit bleak.

Bleak is best for Bodmin moor or chysauster - first thing in the morning when it has just finished raining and the sun is peering through the gloom is best.

This list is in danger of turning into an extensive list of everywhere i love in cornwall rather than a best of! shout if you have any specific questions

i forgot Trewavas Head in the south. As well as the stunning granite cliffs there are the remains of the Wheal Tewavas mines and good proper cornish engine houses and chimneys.

Merlins cave, below tintagel, if you want to brave it.
Nothing special there, but a hole that gets splashed by the caves... but for Arthuriana... it's worth it.

Any tin mine... remember Phoenicians use to come here for it

Hayle and St ives - the views are wicked and the beach on hayle is usually pretty deserted but that just adds to its charm. St ives is a beautiful little town
