Hiya!
I still have a week left of my summer holidays and I am thinking about doing some sort of survival course or camp. I am mainly interested in navigation training, mountain hiking and some basic survival techniques. Does anyone have more information on this subject? Like dis you do one yet and what was it like? How much does it cost? Any websites? Best would be somewhere in the Alps, preferrably Switzerland or Slovenia. But I am open to anything. Cheers! Rens |

Hey, I wasn't sure what you are exactly looking for but ISM has some very good mountaineering courses, see http://www.alpin-ism.com/
I do some mnt rescue, climbing etc type of stuff, as well as teach some related skills. So if you are asking from me, nothing is more fun than learn these new skills and know your limits in the rough terrain. Pricing depends on the length of the course, as well as the destination/location. A one week course is probably around EUR800-1,200; usually including all the services - you need to have some gear yourself, something will be provided by the organizer. Let me know if you want to know more about this topic, I am more than happy to tell about the fascinating world of the survival :-) Nina __________ “We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” |
