You have problems to find weather information... So had I...
In fact I had problems with information of many things. There may be many websites, but they spread a lot of information that you can't process, because you don't know the country. They may have the best scenery, and all the transports, accommodation, and other services I need, all of theese with excellent websites. But they dont' have anything wich interconnects all of them and helps you to decide what and how you have to visit. With a lot of effort I could know the real most interesting points.
As an example, all the ferries timetables are shown, but if I want to travel from Bergen to Stavanger, there is nothing which tells me that I have to take none, one or two ferries in my way, and where.
I was unable to get useful information for my stay in Lofoten Islands. Even In Bergen Tourist Office they hadn't a single brochure or map to give me !! And in the one of the islands they had that magic brochure, whole a help... Why isn't it in any website???
This is my only complain about the country.

About train from Oslo to Bergen, yes, it's worth. And more if you take the Norway in a Nutshell pass, since you'd leave that train for enjoying the one of Fläm in Myrdal, for sailing 2 fjords then, and returning to Bergen line to take next train, all in one day !!
I would visit Geiranger fjord and Briksdal glacier then. It's enough for so few days.
Greetings.

Hi

Well, I want to recommend my hometown Stavanger. I think in June next year we will be having the world championship in beach volleyball...in the middle of town :-)

Apart from that you can visit Kjerag...you get quite a view from 1000 meter above the fjord:

And of course Pulpit rock:
