Has anyone ever stayed at any of the following hotels in London? Maybe know someone who did?

Kensington Close Hotel
Royal National Hotel
Thistle Bloomsbury
Montana

You can't tell from their websites. They all look good there.

I stayed at the Tavistock, just down the street from the Royal National. I went inside to use the internet cafe at the RN, and it seemed like a nice place. A lot of the Contiki tours start off from there, so there was more of a younger mix. Staff seemed friendly, and there is a nice pub just outside of the main entrance.

The Montana hotel on Cromwell road is where I always stay when in London. It isn't plush by any means, but the rooms are clean, the staff helpful & the location great. (I probably wouldn't say anything..but I already have my reservations in for June/July. Rock Out
It's kiddy-corner from Gloucester Road tube.(Picadilly,Circle & District lines) There's a Post office,bank/atm right across the street. A 24 hr grocery(Hatrs),Boots(drug store),pub(The Stanhope) & shoping plaza within a block. There is a laundromat nearby within walking distance, should the need arise.
I save a wee bit & get a room with the bathroom down the hall. Never had a problem getting acesss when I needed it & never had a cold shower, either!
I think it's a great bargin for a London hotel in a decent area.
