I am thinking of going to Ibiza in either May or June of 09. Now I have heard mixed reviews from people some say there is nothing there and some really enjoy it. But I have found it is a little pricey to stay being one person as most places charge for 2 evan though you are one. Censored
I want to go scuba diving and party out there. Is it really worth the money or is there somewhere else that would be more worth it??? Or is it just over hyped?
Please help and thanks in advance.

I was just there 2 weeks ago so I have a lot to say on this topic.

Yes, it is pricey!

But it is legendary...

Yes, it is crowded with English people (San Antoni), but this can always be fun for you... if it has been a long time since you´ve been in an english speaking country you can hook up with people much easier and make tons of friends.

You have to really like clubbing and really like meeting new people for this to be worth the price for you.

It cost me about 530 euros for the entire trip (including travel from Valencia) for 3 nights of absolutely insanity in a high quality topless resort for people under 30.

It breaks down as:
200 Euros on boatrides
120 on room (my friend paid for the last night)
50 on food (I only really remember eating a couple of times)
30 on incidentals (taxis and buses)
130 on party (i was being reasonable on drinks)
drinks cost 10 euro and it costs 30 to 40 to get into a good club.

If party means a lot to you then you have to do it before you die.

If you want to see pictures of my trip to Ibiza you can judge for yourself if you like the overpriced party island atmosphere!

Send me a private message and you can add me to your facebook and see all my pictures and videos from my Ibiza voyage.

showing my age a little i went for 2 weeks in the summer of 1995

had a brilliant time and saw many word class DJ's and spent an absolute fortune

back then it was £40 into a nightclub and £15 for a (very) small bottle of water 175ml in the clubs

if you are minted by all means go and blow some money.

Ibiza is were UK clubbers go to get off there heads and dance all night for a week or two.
thankfully i've grown out of that scene Red Face)

I was there in the late 90's as well. I was with a group of German bikers, and we just clubbed and partied! I remember it as beautiful and do remember enjoying the food, but all my memories are about the 'espuma'. The soap suds that filled the club at certain times of the night. Literally everyone gets covered...as you dance away in the suds.

It was crazy and fun. But I was in my early twenties. Probably would not be interested in the same experience these days.
