I hear ya, Haci. With all due respect to Felix, it's been more than 12 hours, which is a long time to freeze this often round-the-clock game.

I'm curious where in Korea that photo is, but it seems like a needle in a haystack-type photo, unless you happen to live on that block.

I don't have one ready, but I think we should go ahead and start with another photo and finish the Korea one when we see Felix again.

Agreed all around. I think you might be right with Busan -- I had to go there to get my Japanese residence permit years ago and it looks familiar, especially the (presumable) Russian element. I'll start with will hopefully be an easyish on as I'm a bit short on time. Okay, where is this place?

Good logic, but it's neither way north nor south. It's in the middle latitudes. So, no to Antarctica.

Hmmm...I'm stumped at the moment. It looks like snow, but since it doesn't seem to be mountainous I'm lost. I guess it could be in the mountains. Are we in Asia? In the Himilayas somewhere?

Not in Asia at all. Think a lot lower in elevation than the Himalayas.

That's because it's higher than anything else in the area -- it is atop a mountain.

Are we in North America? I would guess that's some sort of weather station, but covered in snow(?) it's hard to tell.

Yes, we are in NA. And DING for identifying it as a weather station. Here's a further hint -- it's within a few hours drive of one of the most prolific posters on this thread.

The date on the photo is a bit of a help too -- the weather is not atypical for this time of year.

Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, or New Hampshah as BostonBill might say?

DING DING DING! Good deduction -- Bill's going to kick himself for not getting it. I guess that was a bit trickier than I thought. It's one of those places I've been to so many times that I think everyone should know it.

Here's a link to the weather report there.

Thanks, Haci. I only really know Mt. Washington because it's famous for ridiculously cold temps and high wind speeds. Looks like a decent day up there today though.

Where is this place?

wow
I was convinced it was a boat encrusted in snow and ice. Nice picture. I have been there but never when it looked like that.

The weather up there is, uh, interesting. I was once caught in a blizzard in July.

About the pic, it looks super-modern, like something from the Jetsons. All that glass and greenery makes me think it's in a wet part of North America. Are we in the Pacific Northwest, say within a 200-mile radius of Seattle?

That flat lansdcape suggests that it might be one of the Low Countries. How about the Netherlands?

It definitely has that Low Country look, but we are south of there.

This is a government complex of buildings.
