Well, after spening entirely too much time wandering around the Western Hempisphere (and finding great Google earth spots) I guess it is time to narrow it down further-Is this palace north of the Tropic of Cancer?

Here's a hint: This place looked a lot different 63 years ago, at least at street level.

See what happens when you spend too much time with Google Earth! I was,of course, in the Eastern Hemisphere. I assume with your clue that Justin is correct.

Hmmm... I see a lot of pools, maybe a baseball field and some very straight roads. Are we in the US, the Midwest. perhaps?
China, huh? I came so close to going there a few times while in Japan, but opted for nicer weather -- both my vacations each year were in the winter.
