KL is the only city that won't have hosted any Olympic events come the end of this year?

I'm sure that's one of many possible correct answers, but I had something in mind having to do with urban landmarks.

Here it is again for the new page:

Which of these cities doesn't belong according to what I have in mind?

a. Seoul
b. Taipei
c. Hong Kong
d. Kuala Lumpur
e. Shanghai

KL is the only city without an existing or proposed 100+ story building?

That's exactly what I was going for, except I wasn't focusing on floors and I wasn't going for KL.

Seoul's the only city without an existing 400-meter building?

Boom goes the dynamite!

Yeah, all the others have buildings in the top 10 tallest and over 400 meters, while Seoul is only up to 264 meters at this point. Fine work.

And how do the 452-meter Petronas Towers only have 88 floors? Was it built with an all-loft floor plan?

I guess they have tall floors in Malaysia -- can't see why as I felt tall there at 5'10"

Okay, here's one -- which is the odd one out and why?

a. Portland
b. Hartford
c. Boise
d. Pocatello
e. Newburgh

The Portland I'm referring is deep in the heart of Bootsistan.
What I'm thinking of has more to do with numbers (actually a single two-digit number)...

If it's Newburgh, Indiana, then that's the only city in a state with a 70 MPH maximum highway speed. If it's another Newburgh I've never heard of it.

The other Newburgh is in New York.

I'm not talking about speed limits, but I am talking about something else you see on signs in the USA.

If you like algebra, the number I'm talking about is x*x*(x+1)*(3x+1). X is a prime number.

My algebra skills have atrophied more than a little bit. Is the number 84?

In other words, I might need another clue.

Yes, the number is 84 -- well done on recalling your algebra skills!

Think about where you might see 84 on a tricolor sign.

Okay, Pocatello is the only one NOT on Interstate 84. You've already found a way to make this game and its clues nearly impossible without serious help. But thanks to the clues I didn't have to struggle too long. Thumbs Up

You got it!

Pocatello it is. Poor I-84 seems to have a 2000 hole in its middle.

We need something akin to WITP's DING DING DING for this game -- any ideas?

Thanks Haci. I've been thinking about a DING DING DING alternative and I don't have any ideas. We could just use DING DING DING as sort of a tribute to Static or whomever came up with that for WITP.

I'm going to try to think of clever questions for this game, but right now I have to finish a bit of work and then turn the computer off after 13 straight hours. So the board is open.

That could be true, but that wasn't the one I was looking for. My thing is related to the city names.
