OK, so it ain't Bhutan or Buenos Aires, but car camping counts as traveling. Get in the car and go!

When I first left for a couple of months in the car, I did a bit of preparation.

Australia is a big place and I was planning on taking my little 'Town Car' through some 4WD tracks in the middle of nowhere so I needed to be prepared for the possibility of getting stuck for a couple of weeks.

For the car, I took a 20 litre fuel can, and a 20 litre water container that doubled as drinking water. Then there was the spares which only consisted of fan belts and some oil. I also took a spade for when I would get bogged.

I took the back seats out so that I could easily fit more in, including my chair, swag, eskies, food box, gas bottle and burner and billy.

The laptop and camera travelled in the front with me.

I spent a couple of weeks working through all of this as I finalised some work, way back in September 2000.

See where it all started

Does it count if you live in your car for a week while "between homes"? Big Grin

Only if you write about it and make it sound more fun than it actually was.

Or the person you lived in the car with was tall, beautiful and looked like Angela Joli.
Then it must have been fun.
