Racequiet head phones:

I was reading a magazine (Speedway Illustrated) and came across the new products section. A set of ear bud headphones that drop the background noise by 42 decibels... for less than 40 bucks. Go figure... Want to hear the spotter in a rip roaring race car, gotta be like an earplug!

Antitheft slippers

"Slippers with antitheft rings make alarm sounds if the rings are pulled out. The rings are put through the legs of a table."

The skyrest travel pillow will have the body near the right shape for a hammock on the beach when you get there.
No trees! - take your anchor hammock
this hammock has it's own collapsible frame and all fits in a sack similar to those folding camp chairs.

They sell only products in miniature. Really kind of fun.

The "pre-made kits" in the personal care section aren't too bad. All the travel stuff you need in the small sizes you need, all already arranged & bagged for you. Having anything/everything you'd want in a travel size, all in one place, makes it easy...especially when the stores you're going thru just don't have it.

Gave me some cool gift ideas for the travellers I know too.

This may just be the ultimate palmtop computer. Yep,palmtop computer--I've just ordered the SL 3200 which has a 4 Gig hard drive. Plug it into the USB port of any PC and it is read as an external drive. In addition, it has CF and SD card slots. And it runs Linux...

We'll see, i hope I'm not posting this on the 'Dork Product of the Day' thread when I get it.

Sandals with Hidden Compartments

A company called New Management Inc. recently announced a new pair of sandals called "ArchPort", that contains a storage compartment inside the sole.

The compartment carries a wallet-insert large enough for money, keys, and credit cards. Slide the wallet into back into the sole, and secure it with the Velcro cover.

Both left and right sandals have a compartment, and the sandals come in different colors. The company also has an athletic shoe based on the same idea.

$44.95 plus $8.95 for S/H
